11+ Masterclasses Maths 2026

These Masterclasses are for children entering Year 6 in September 2026.

Masterclasses include: Maths Reasoning, English Comprehension and Interview practice.

Revising all concepts of area and perimeter and applying them 11+ style questions. This will include finding the missing sides to compound shapes in order to calculate the area. We will also include using the expression X (algebra).

Revising all concepts of Units of Measures and applying them 11+ style questions. This will include converting equivalent units of measure, reading and interpreting scales and using the four operations with money problems.

Revising all concepts of Fractions, Decimals and %and applying them 11+ style questions. This will include comparing and ordering fractions,, equivalent fractions and using all four operations with fractions including word problems.

Fine tuning exam techniques of the more complicated and multi-step maths word problems found towards the end of exam papers, carrying multiple marks. All questions will be taken from previous exams as well as my own.

The first class of two on Algebra. We will be stripping back to the start of Algebra, looking at simple expressions, simplifying them and applying them to equations to find the value of x.

The second class of two on Algebra. We will be continuing to build on the basics of algebra and applying our knowledge to writing formulae and applying the key concepts to word problems at the 11+ standard.

Practicing all things decimals and applying the four operations to various contexts in the 11+ style word problems.

Revising the methods and understanding of Ratio and Proportion and applying them to 11+ style word problems in a variety of different settings.

Revising the theory behind Factors, Multiples and Prime numbers and applying them to 11+ style word problems.

We will also touch on square numbers as they link.
